Muscat, My First Arab City to visit
By Daria Sirotina

Muscat, capital of Oman, was for me the first Arab city and it surprised me and my people, that how the city is arranged. It turned out that the principles that I have come to know during my usual visit to European cities
These areas, as seen in the photo are connected excellent highway, along which lie the simple paradise gardens, not like Dubai.

Here is the old Muscat – a bunch of white houses, fit in the hollow between the mountains. In the foreground you, if you look closely, you will see the fort and one of the sultan’s palace

The most famous view of the city – the promenade along the bay near Muttrah.
These mountains cover the whole of Oman. I was surprised, because I expect to see the desert.
Omanis in traditional dress, dishdashas, long dress and Kumma,
Note the beautiful wood ceiling! In the background – Burkas or whatever it is called this part of the female costume.
Sellers are mainly Indians and Pakistanis. According to the guide, Omanis are obsessed with shopping, so the market is always crowded with people and something to buy. Hmm, I thought, what can you buy here? And what is shopping for Omanis?

Oils and incense. Frankincense after a trip to Oman I now associated not primarily with the church, and from this country.Incense smoke everywhere – in the lobby of hotels, houses, offices. Fantastic smell! Thanks to this trip I’m at it quite differently looked.

This is the Royal Opera House. Yes, in Oman! And there, by the way, are the celebrities and the world’s leading orchestras. From Muttrah, where we’ll go on the market and on the waterfront, it is 15 minutes away by car.

Well, a couple of pictures from the beach in conclusion. In this photo fishermen went to sea on a fishing trip.Fished mainly at night to the morning was fresh catch at the fish market.
