Qaranqasho is an event of celebration, a way of appraising children for completing the fasting during the first half of the holy month of Ramadan and encouraging them to keep continuing the fasting for the rest of Ramadan.

Qaranqasho is celebrated on the evening of the end of the 14th of Ramadan, the night before the day of the 15th of Ramadan.
