Al Sawadi Beach is one of the most popular beaches of the Sultanate of Oman located in Barka – The Coastal city in the Batinah region – Northern Oman.
Al Sawadi Beach is at approx one hour 15 minutes drive from Muscat toward Sohar city
Just before reaching the point the road heading to it makes a beautiful scene. On both sides of the road, you will find tall coconut trees along the way.
When you get closer to the beach you can see the Al Sawadi Watchtower ( it’s not a fort but commonly known as sawadi fort ) located on an island on the right side of the beach.
This beach is surrounded by small islands.
If the sea level is low you can visit the Sawadi watch tower island by walk otherwise you have to take a boat ride.
This beach is the best spot for snorkeling and diving lovers. Undersea life can be sited on nearby the beach.
You can go for a boat ride there, as well – Warning! These boats are not as safe as these are open small boats used by the local fishermen.
