New taxation – Excise Tax will be introduced in Oman in coming months of 2019
His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said has issued a Royal Decree on
13 March 2019 which will take effect 90 days following the date of publication in the official Gazette.
The new #ExciseTax, part of a GCC-wide agreement, will help promote a healthier lifestyle within the society, and will support the state's budget with revenues that can be redirected to enhance healthcare and social services. pic.twitter.com/kCC5unQZtO
