Six days, 2nd National Dates Festival has been started from 14th October till 19th at Nizwa Market (Souq) Square, the main purpose of this festival is to create an awareness and to enhanced the Omani Local market , as the major High Quality dates production of Oman is being exported which is good for Economy of Oman but it results in lesser availability of Dates to Local market in Oman.
100+ varieties of Omani Dates are being displayed at the Festival
From this Festival consumers will come to know about the various ranges of dates as well as it will help in boosting the Industry.
Different workshops are being conducted as a part of festival thru which farmers will get more information about the packing & safety practice.
